Van Ngo specializes in choice modeling, demand estimation, and causal inference. At Christensen Associates, she has estimated the cost structure of the railroad systems and studied the labor elasticities of USPS mail processing. She also works in our litigation group to estimate antitrust damages using econometric models. She leverages big data in econometric and machine learning models to answer a variety of economic questions. Van employs numerous programming platforms, including Python, R, Stata, and SQL, as well as cloud computing with Amazon Web Services.
Prior to joining Christensen Associates, Van conducted research in empirical industrial organization and studied the impact of shelter-in-place policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When not at work, Van enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and cooking.
