Sherry Wang’s background is in empirical industrial organization, energy economics, and applied econometrics. In her doctoral dissertation, she developed and estimated a consumer demand model of retail electricity products to study the value of introducing new products. Sherry has also analyzed market power in deregulated markets and quantified the impact of transmission expansion and intermittent renewable energy on the electricity market using econometric techniques.
At Christensen Associates, Sherry’s work includes providing litigation support in class action cases, estimating load impacts of electricity demand response programs, and conducting bill impact analysis in the energy market. She employs R, Matlab, Stata, and Python in research.
When not at work, Sherry enjoys trail walking, drawing, reading and writing poems, cooking, and exploring new restaurants.
