Dan Anderson is Emeritus Professor of Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance at the Wisconsin School of Business, Institute for Environment Studies, UW-Madison. He taught in the actuarial science, risk management, and insurance department for nearly 40 years, and was department chair for 17. He is past president of the American Risk and Insurance Association, has authored more than 75 pieces for risk management and business publications, and has been a consultant/expert witness to numerous organizations including Procter and Gamble, Reliance Insurance Company, and Marmon Group. His areas of expertise include government insurance programs, natural disaster insurance, liability risk management, insurance company insolvencies, litigation involving asbestos and Superfund/pollution claims, and environmental risk management, including climate change.
